Booking
- What is the procedure if I have made an online booking?
If you have made a booking through our website, you will immediately receive a booking confirmation/invoice by email from our booking partner ChaletsPlus with further instructions.
- I get an error message when I try to make an online payment with my credit card?
There is a limit of €6,000.00 on your credit card payment. You may be trying to make a payment for an amount higher than this. If you encounter any issues with your payment, you can always contact us.
Payment
- When do I need to pay the travel sum?
You pay at least 30% of the total travel sum plus any cancellation insurance within 7 days of making your booking with our booking partner ChaletsPlus. The remaining travel sum must be paid no later than six weeks before departure. If you depart within six weeks, the payment must be made in one go.
Cancellation
- What do I have to pay if I cancel?
Cancellation may incur costs. In Article 4 of the Rental Agreement with the landlord of the holiday home, you can find all the conditions and possible costs in case of cancellation.
If you have taken out cancellation insurance through our booking partner ChaletsPlus and cancel the booking for a reason covered by the insurance, the costs may be reimbursed by the insurance. You can find the terms of the cancellation insurance under Cancellation Insurance.
- Can the booked period be rescheduled?
Rescheduling a booking instead of canceling is possible within the same season but not to the next season. The same property must be available for the desired period. Change and/or cancellation fees may apply. Please contact the Customer Service of our booking partner ChaletsPlus to discuss your situation.

- How do I get to Nationalpark Chalets?

A-5741 Neukirchen am GroßvenedigerNationalpark Chalets is only accessible via the Gerlosstraße B165. Please ensure your navigation does not take you above our park, as you will end up on the ski slope.
- Can I charge my electric car?
There are several options to charge your car in the park. If your chalet does not have a wallbox, you can use the charging station in the parking lot at the reception. It is not allowed to use the regular sockets in the carport, as these are locked. Charging is at your own expense and risk. Please note that rates may vary if you use your own charging card. An idle fee may also be charged, so do not leave your car connected after charging. Unfortunately, we have no control over the rates and advise you to check with your provider in advance.
- Do I need snow chains?
n Austria, snow chains are mandatory when the road is covered with snow or ice. Nationalpark Chalets has its own winter service, so our road is kept as snow-free as possible. Please note that the park is built on a mountain, so we still recommend bringing snow chains if you stay with us between November and March.
If in doubt, you can always contact us for the current situation.
- Are winter tires necessary during the winter months?
Yes, since January 2008, all cars driving in Austria under winter conditions must have winter tires and sufficient windshield washer fluid with antifreeze.
- Do I need a vignette?
The Autobahn vignette for Austria is mandatory for all motor vehicles up to 3500 kg. The vignette is available at all motorway border crossings into Austria, Austrian petrol stations, and petrol stations along the motorway in southern Germany. Before your trip, you can also purchase the Autobahn vignette for cars and motorcycles digitally via ASFINAG. However, it must be purchased at least 18 days before your departure.
Stay
- Can I arrive/depart outside of opening hours?
Early check-out or late arrival is not a problem. We kindly ask that you inform the reception in advance so we can prepare everything properly. We will ensure you receive all the necessary information for a smooth check-in and check-out.

- What time is the chalet available?
You can check in from 4:00 PM. On the day of departure, we ask you to check out before 10:00 AM.
Would you prefer to arrive earlier or depart a bit later? Feel free to let us know by contacting the reception at rezeption@nationalpark-chalets.com. Although we cannot guarantee this, we will be happy to see what is possible to make your stay as relaxed as possible.
- Where can I find the nearest supermarket?
We have listed the nearby supermarkets for you here.
Shops in Austria often open early, but they also close earlier than you might be used to. Please also note that outside of the high season weeks, stores are closed on Sundays.

- Are pets allowed?
Pets are allowed in some chalets – but not all! Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring a pet.
Additional cleaning fees will apply for your pet's stay. We kindly ask that you take note of the specific rules and conditions regarding pets, so that all our guests can enjoy a pleasant stay.
- Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times within the park.
- Please clean up after your pet – we have several dog stations around the park with bags available.
- Be mindful of other guests and respect their peace and space.

Yes, we have our own fiber optic connection for the entire park.

- Where is the nearest hospital?
The nearest hospital is the Tauernklinikum in Mittersill, located about a 15-minute drive from Nationalpark Chalets. This hospital offers comprehensive medical care and is open 24 hours a day for emergencies.

- Can I charge my electric car?

- Can an extra person join?
If the maximum number of people has not been exceeded, the extra guests can stay with you in the accommodation for an additional fee for bed linen and tourist tax. Send the change via the contact form of our booking partner ChaletsPlus, and they will process it in your booking.
- How do I report damage?
Accidents can always happen. If damage has occurred, please report it to the reception as soon as possible. We will help you to arrange the damage, and in many cases, the damage is covered by the insurance for accommodation damage.
Chalet
- Am I allowed to bring and set off fireworks?
To ensure the peace, safety, and natural environment of the park, fireworks are not allowed at Nationalpark Chalets. We ask all guests to be considerate of nature, other guests, and pets.

- Is smoking allowed?
For the health and comfort of all our guests, the chalets and common areas are non-smoking. Smoking is only permitted on the terraces and outdoor areas of your chalet, provided you are considerate of other guests and dispose of your cigarette butts properly. Thank you for your understanding!
- What kind of kitchenware is available in the chalet?
The kitchens in our chalets are fully equipped for the number of guests that can stay. In the chalet description on our website, you can find out if specific items, such as a hand blender, toaster, and other things, are available.
- What should I do with my waste?
Please ensure proper waste separation. Each chalet has dedicated containers for this purpose. The small waste bins with colored lids (paper/cardboard, plastic, metal) should be emptied into the waste collection stations. These can be found next to chalet 63, opposite chalet 45, diagonally opposite chalet 14, and next to chalet 7.
Please deposit glass in the glass containers located in the parking area opposite the chapel.
Upon departure, your chalet must be free of waste, the green containers emptied, and glass waste disposed of. We will take care of the gray containers for you.
If waste is not disposed of, or not disposed of correctly, we will unfortunately have to charge a fee for this.
- How should I leave the chalet upon departure?
We kindly request that you leave the chalet broom clean. This includes the following:
- The chalet must be free of waste.
- Please remove the bed linens and place them in the hallway.
- Ensure the dishwasher has been run and emptied.
- Switch off electrical appliances where necessary and check that all windows and doors are closed.
- Don’t forget to empty the refrigerator and take out the trash.
If the chalet is not left broom clean, we will unfortunately have to charge additional cleaning costs. These will be calculated on an hourly basis (€55 per hour) and deducted from the deposit.
- Are there consumables such as toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, and the like available?
Upon arrival in your chalet, we ensure that you feel right at home. Therefore, tea towels, toilet rolls, and garbage bags are provided, sufficient for the first few days of your stay. Additionally, you will receive a handy service set at check-in, which includes dishwasher tablets, laundry capsules, hand soap, all-purpose cleaner, and other basic necessities.
Still missing something? Ran out of toilet paper? No worries! You can buy everything at one of the nearby supermarkets. Additionally, you can also visit our own shop next to the reception for the most essential items.
- Is a high chair available?
In some chalets, the owner has provided a high chair, but this is not always the case.
We have extra high chairs available for €10. If you want to be sure that a high chair is available, please inform us before your stay, and we will ensure it is ready upon arrival.
- Is a crib available?
Traveling with a little one? For children up to 3 years old, you can book a crib including bed linen and towels for €25. If you inform us before your stay, we will ensure it is ready upon arrival.
- Are bed linen and/or towels provided?
With your reservation, a linen package is booked per adult. This linen package includes: a made-up bed upon arrival, a large towel, and a small towel.
In your chalet, we make the beds for the number of guests indicated at the time of booking. Does your chalet have more beds than guests? Then these beds will remain unmade unless you specifically request otherwise. Of course, the other beds can also be made up for an additional fee. Just let us know!
- Do I need to separate my waste?
Please consider separating waste. Separate containers are available for each chalet. The small trash cans with colored lids must be emptied into the waste collection stations. These can be found next to chalet 63, opposite chalet 45, diagonally opposite chalet 14, and next to chalet 7. Please deposit glass in the glass containers located in the parking lot opposite the chapel.
Your chalet must be free of waste upon departure, the green containers emptied, and the glass waste disposed of. We will take care of the gray containers for you.
If waste is not or not properly disposed of, we are forced to charge additional costs for this.
- Is BBQ allowed?
BBQing with gas or charcoal is unfortunately not allowed in our park by order of the fire department. Electric BBQing is permitted! At the reception, you can rent a Weber Lumin electric BBQ for EUR 30 per day (limited availability). Click here for more information.
Winter sports
- At what time and where does the skibus depart?
The ski bus departs from the bus stop at the entrance of the park, below the parking lots (at the end of our skislope). The times can be found here.
