The Origin of Nationalpark Chalets

Nationalpark Chalets originated from the vision of Ton Jansen, the initiator of the chalet village. Inspired by the beauty of the Austrian Alps and the desire to create something unique, the idea was born to build an authentic chalet village that exudes both luxury and tradition. Located in the picturesque Neukirchen am Großvenediger in the Pinzgau region, the village offers a vibrant center with extensive infrastructure, surrounded by the impressive nature of the Hohe Tauern National Park.

After more than ten years of preparation and obtaining the necessary permits, construction of the model home began in 2017. The idea of a chalet village in this form was truly unique and was considered innovative and special by everyone. By 2021, all 63 chalets were successfully built and sold to individual owners, who offer their chalets for rent throughout the year.

The chalets are designed in a modern Alpine style that perfectly blends with the natural surroundings. The use of hides, antlers, various types of stone, and centuries-old wood from high mountain areas ensures an authentic appearance. Reclaimed wood from old farms and barns was also reused, giving each chalet its own character. Inspired by the old farms, alpine huts, and stables from the region, traditional craftsmanship has been revitalized, giving the chalet village its unique charm.

Since then, Nationalpark Chalets has grown into a beloved destination, where the harmony between luxury and tradition comes together perfectly. The chalet village offers an ideal base for a mountain holiday, combining modern luxury with respect for the rich culture and nature of the region.
